Dear Kim Holden,
I have read hundreds maybe even thousands of books, your Classics, “PRIDE AN PREJUDICE”, “WITHERING HEIGHTS,” your Shakespeare’s; “ROMEO AND JULIET, ” “CLEOPATRA,” your romances; ” THE THORN BIRDS”, “GONE WITH THE WIND,” BUT none of them made an impact on me so profound both mentally and emotionally as “BRIGHTSIDE” did, just writing this to you chokes me up, I wish I knew a person such as Kate, and have a friend such as BRIGHTSIDE. She changed everyone’s lives for the better, she showed them the “BRIGHTSIDE OF EVERYTHING!!!
The “DO EPIC” motto I too have adopted it along with thousands of other women. It’s tattooed on the side of my hand/arm as a reminder everyday to try my best to DO EPIC!!! My story is small, but for me it’s a battle each and everyday, I suffer from Chronic Pain from my lower back extremities S1-S5 after 3 back surgeries unsuccessful, due to Scoliosis, Degenerate Disc, the usual. And now Chronic Pain is the silent killer!! My Do Epic is so I don’t hide in bed, feeling sorry for myself for this SUPERWOMAN LOST HER CAPE, LASSO, ALL HER SUPER POWERS, AND THE WHEELS SHE NEEDS ARE HER WALKER..
DO EPIC MEANS EACH DAY OUT OF BED, EACH DAY DRESSED, EACH DAY MOVING, SMILING, LIVING!!!
