Every once in a while I come across a band that I don’t just like … and I don’t just love … but that I become obsessed with. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does it happens instantly and intensely. Those are the bands that find their way on my list of all-time favorites. I added a band to that list this week. (I love it when that happens!) Sunset Sons. They’re a band of surfers. (Sound familiar Bright Siders?) I swear to God, they’re the real-life version of Rook. And Gus. GUS! They’re brilliant!! Epic!! Now go. Find them. Stalk them. Show them some love.

I am loving the playlists.. I really Like Sunset Sons. I love stumbling upon new bands. especially when they turn out Amazing. Thank you for sharing. Yes the music made me cry again thinking about Bright Side and Gus!

THANK YOU for this!! I am #TEAMGUS all the way! 🙂 and I was kinda hoping you would make actual songs for the book (like what Colleen Hoover did in Maybe Someday), because I kept envisioning Chris Hemsworth as Gus (like how Gus was described in your book), but it was just not right for me! Thor is not band-dude material! 😀 So, seeing (and hearing) this band is such a relief for me and it makes me wish that the book would be adopted to movie soon (and totally hire these surfer-band dudes to play as the Rook dudes) 😀
Bright Side was such a roller coaster of emotions! I hated you a little bit when I got to the mid-part of the book, because I just read Me Before You by Jojo Moyes .. (I had a sudden realization while reading the mid-part and I thought I don’t deserve that much pain in my life, dude! 😀 ) .. I was in such a mess that I even skipped some parts because it just hurts too much! 🙂
But I still loved it! 😀 looking forward to more of your future works! and I LOVE the idea of having a BRIGHT SIDE to every personality! 😀
